The Role  
As a Technical Sales Specialist with Presidio, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by leading and supporting Managed Services sales engagements. Acting as a strategic advisor, you’ll collaborate closely with core sales teams to uncover client needs, design tailored service solutions and deliver compelling proposals that align with both business goals and technical requirements.

Your expertise will empower internal teams through sales enablement initiatives, while your deep understanding of service delivery models ensures seamless cross-functional collaboration. You’ll stay ahead of market trends and competitive offerings to position Presidio’s Managed Services portfolio effectively and foster long-term client relationships that extend beyond the initial sale.

This role demands a dynamic blend of technical acumen, business insight, and interpersonal finesse—ideal for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, client-centric environments.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require travel up to 20% for client meetings, events, and internal collaboration.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive Sales Engagements:Support and lead Managed Services sales opportunities in collaboration with the core sales team. Identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions to drive revenue growth.
  • Client Discovery & Solution Design:Conduct discovery sessions to understand client pain points, business drivers, and technical requirements. Build and present tailored service solutions based on client needs.
  • Sales Enablement:Provide technical training, education, and support to internal sales teams to help them effectively position Managed Services.
  • Proposal Development:Build proposals, presentations, scopes of work, pricing models, and ROI-based business cases. Leverage inside sales and support teams to streamline administrative components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with architects, operations, service delivery, and solution development teams to ensure proposals align with delivery capabilities and client expectations.
  • Market Awareness:Stay informed about industry trends, client challenges, and competitive offerings to effectively position Presidio’s Managed Services portfolio.
  • Client Relationship Support:Assist with building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with clients throughout the presales cycle. Support long-term partnership development even after the initial sale.
  • Feedback Loop:Capture and relay client insights and feedback to product and operations teams to improve service offerings and customer experience.        

Required Skills And Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field) or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  • 6-9 years' experience in a technical presales, sales engineering, or solutions consulting role – preferably in Managed Services or IT Services
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate them into viable service solutions
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
  • Comfortable in front of both technical and business audiences
  • Experience with sales tools such as Salesforce, quoting platforms, and proposal software

Preferred Skills And Professional Experience:

  • Understanding of ITIL, service delivery models, or MSP operations
