Summary Description:
The Regional Ocean Pricing Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing ocean freight pricing strategies across designated trade lanes within a specific region. This role involves close collaboration with commercial, procurement, and operations teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing structures that align with market trends and customer needs. The coordinator monitors carrier contracts, negotiates rates, analyzes cost structures, and supports strategic initiatives to enhance margin performance and service offerings. Strong analytical skills, market awareness, and cross-functional communication are key to success in this role.

Personal Growth and Development

Main Responsibilities:
- Procurement of contract rates for Global FCL and LCL tenders
- Management of Global FCL and LCL tenders alongside Product Managers and Commercial team to set strategies and increase market share and purchasing power as a Region
- Keep close and healthy relationships with Ocean Carriers and Coloaders by attending regular calls and monthly meetings
- Provide CHQ and the network with any market information, changes in services (routes) confirmed by carriers as well as market rates fluctuation and special conditions, and port and terminal status updates.
- Carry out with Ocean Carriers and Coloaders aligned rate negotiations (spot or fixed) and being consistent with our Corporate policies, terms and conditions
- Follow-up space allocation with each carrier for volume development (FAK vs NAC, power lanes, best deals)
- Maintain and manage contracts in SharePoint Ocean Contract page
- Support the offices of the Region with local pricing in case of being required for absences.
Global Tenders:
- Attend internal calls with Product Managers and Commercial team to establish pricing and procurement strategy. Be sure to share relevant information to the tender in hand, shared by another regional ocean teams.
- Manage and keep records of whole procurement process with Ocean Carriers for Global FCL and LCL tenders
- Respond RFQs sent from Global Pricing and/or other regional ocean teams before the due date and completely filled in then upload them to Bid Tool or SharePoint, as instructed
- If awarded, request register of the net rate and special conditions with the carrier and transition to the Product Managers Follow-up and keep statistics of the results of RFQs in which we have participated
Procurement Management:
- Update of the rates notifications in SharePoint
- Contract registry and update (SVCONT screen)
- Publish surcharge update or implementation, such as: General Rate Increase (GRI), Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), etc., whenever necessary
- Preparation and distribution of the rates trend and market update for import and export
Rfq/Tender Management:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of global ocean RFQs, including data collection, rate analysis, and submission.
Pricing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and maintain pricing models to support strategic decision-making. Ensure pricing proposals align with company objectives and market conditions.
Carrier Engagement:
- Liaise with ocean carriers to negotiate rates, gather pricing intelligence, and maintain strong relationships.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze historical pricing data, market trends, and competitor benchmarks to support pricing decisions. Prepare reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align pricing strategies with customer needs and operational capabilities.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all pricing activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of RFQ submissions and pricing records
Kpi’S:
- Increase year-over-year win ratio in FCL
- Increase year-over-year win ratio in LCL
- Respond to RFQs received before the due date
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills And Behaviours :
Knowledge:
- Expeditors company policies and procedures knowledge
- A good understanding of Expeditors’ products, services and systems
- Strong market and competition knowledge
- Strong geographical knowledge
- Familiarity with global trade lanes and carrier networks is a plus

Training And Qualifications :
Training Requirements:
- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Relations, or related field
- Experience working in the freight forwarding or NVOCC business
- +5 years of experience in Ocean (FCL and LCL) product
- Related experience and/or training in Ocean FCL and LCL procurement and pricing
- Ocean FCL and LCL operational background
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of air freight market and logistics/supply chain industry
- Strong customer knowledge on RFQs, pricing and contractual management
