- Monday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Job Description:
This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership of the technician medical team and overseeing office management. In addition to general Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing employee work schedules, managing the office staff, and finding coverage where needed.
- Maintaining inventory control, including controlled drugs, by monitoring product quantities, qualities, and price points. This includes equipment and dealing with returns. Reviewing best prices for all products purchased.
- Providing direction for efficient workflow.
- Ensuring that pet owners' complaints are promptly addressed and resolved.
- Working well with all team members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
- Resolving informal employee complaints, provide a general explanation of the nature and basis for hospital personnel policies and procedures; maintain effective employee-management communication.
- Requires skill in obtaining information from owners to complete records, in giving instructions for scheduling appointments and therapeutic activities and in relaying the practitioners’ orders concerning animal care and treatment.
- Make informal recommendations to the veterinary regional manager concerning such personnel matters as staffing needs, advancement, re-assignments, hours of work or other status changes affecting the receptionists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We’Re Looking For:
- An experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician with an active license required, 8+ year professional experience required.
- Some previous management and / or customer service experience required.
- Experience and proficiency in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring required.
- Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Strong client service skills including answering telephone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.
- Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
- Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.
- Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus.
- Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.
- A VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia or a Surgical VTS would be preferred, but is not required

Additional Information
Pay Range: Starting between $30 - $40/hr, negotiable depending on experience level.
