The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role on the Finance team, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager. This individual will be responsible for driving financial insights through budget and forecast support, month-end close activities, and preparing executive-level reporting packages.
What does a great Senior Financial Analyst do?
A strong Senior Financial Analyst partners with business leaders to deliver clear, data-driven insights that shape decision-making. This role requires balancing technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to influence strategy and support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct moderate to complex financial analyses on business unit performance, including revenue, expenses, product profitability, and cash flow.
- Manage the consolidation of submissions for month-end results and forecast updates, preparing concise variance analyses for executive review.
- Develop, update, and maintain monthly financial reports and operational review materials for executive leadership.
- Research and deliver financial and business-related analyses to evaluate the impact of corporate projects and transactions.
- Prepare C-level presentations and contribute to the annual long-range plan, annual budget, and recurring forecast updates.
- Identify and drive enhancements to FP&A processes, reporting, and business capabilities.
- Collaborate with and provide support to the broader FP&A team, including direct partnership with the CFO.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s degree preferred).
- 4–7 years of progressive experience in Finance, with a focus on accounting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
- Proven ability to make sound, data-driven decisions and solve problems independently.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong technical aptitude with financial systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating across departments.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Experience in the technology or software industry.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000.
