Job Description
Collects parking fees, and/or acknowledges appropriate parking credentials from hospital patients, visitors and staff and provides directions to parking locations.
- Directs individuals with special parking passes to proper locations.
- Responds to inquiries from patients, visitors and staff regarding parking facilities, rules and regulations.
- Enforces parking rules and regulations in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Assists other parking staff in enforcing general parking rules and regulations, ensuring safety and providing quality customer service to the hospital’s, staff, patients and visitors.
- Resolves effectively and diplomatically irate customer situations when possible, or refers to the Parking Manager.
- Ensures parking machines are filled with cash and coin and provides appropriate documentation to finance.
- Responsible for reconciling cash transactions at the cashier station at the end of shift.
- Works closely with the parking security guard and facilities management team to ensure proper traffic flow and accurate payments are being made.
- Reports machines/equipment malfunctions to facilities management.
- Troubleshoots customer issues with tickets and specialty parking passes.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
This is what you'll need to do it:

- 5 years customer service experience
- Experience working with cash
- College diploma required
- Parking experience considered an asset
- Must have experience working with difficult customers
- Hospital experience considered an asset
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Able to diplomatically respond to inquiries from staff, volunteers, patients, family members and members of the general public
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record require
Additional Information
Status: Temporary Full-time (6 months)
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.5 hour day shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
