Summary
This position plays a critical role in advancing both manufacturing excellence and workforce capability. The role leads the development and delivery of learning programs that support operations, including curriculum design, training material development, facilitation planning, vendor management, and program effectiveness. Collaboration with internal partners and subject matter experts is essential to ensure training initiatives align with business needs and drive continuous improvement in both process performance and employee capability.
In addition, this position is responsible for designing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes within robotic cell assemblies, subassemblies, and warehouse operations. Working closely with internal teams, the role ensures that products meet high quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assess learning needs for the operations teams through partnerships with operations leaders and subject matter experts.
- Determine and drive the learning and development strategy for the operations teams (manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, etc.) through collaboration with subject matter experts. Set priorities based upon business need, resource availability and potential impact to deliver high quality timely training.
- Build a portfolio of technical onboarding training, including externally and internally designed programs and curated content.
- Establish evaluation methods to support supervisor/manager assessments of the impact and effectiveness of training programs and utilize feedback and data to make evidence-based improvements that enhance the learning impact.
- Facilitate program sessions and courses and/or build internal organizational capability as needed.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of the content, develop learning materials and manage training requests.
- Design and develop clear, concise and high impact training materials such as facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, reference guides, videos and presentations.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Develop a training tracking mechanism to support supervisor/manager in identifying skill gaps within the operations teams.
- Enhance, modify, and consolidate existing learning content and materials to ensure all remain current, accurate, and relevant to the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practice solutions in manufacturing.
- Design and implement equipment and tooling to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and reduce waste.
Qualifications

Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minimum 5 years’ experience in designing and delivering learning & development content in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience leading training sessions with strong platform and engagement skills. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word & SharePoint.
Language Skills
Able to read and interpret technical manuals and related training documents. Able to assist in the development and presentation of training classes. Must have technical writing skills as applicable to the robotics and automated systems technologies.
Other Skills And Abilities
Must possess some experience in a formal programming language or robot-specific language. Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices, problem-solving abilities, excellent technical skills, and effective communication skills. Hands-on skills in robot mechanical, electrical and systems maintenance and troubleshooting a plus.
