Teacher, Math, Middle School (EX) (Current Opportunity) - St John Regional Catholic School, Frederick MD

St. John Regional Catholic School is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as a Middle School Math Teacher, Grades 6th & 7th. We provide a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the church and community. .

Essential Functions

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures
• Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate, challenge, and engage students
• Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church
• Create an instructional environment conducive to learning that is appealing and organized
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the Catholic mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom
• Expertly integrate G Suite for Education into a 21st Century classroom
• Meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students in accordance with the curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.

Position Qualifications

• Degree in math or Education with a math concentration
• MSDE teacher certification in Education for Math or the desire to obtain this
• Knowledge of curriculum and principles and practices of pedagogy
• Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons, as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction
• Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal fingerprint background check, completion of VIRTUS
• Training and completion of all necessary paperwork
• Support and uphold Catholic moral and social teaching and the mission of SJRCS (practicing Catholic preferred)
• Demonstrates ability to operate with a growth mindset and seek opportunities for feedback.

Range: $46,000, Annualized
