Job Description Overview
Searching for Operations Specialist for the Global Bid Desk, providing strategic and analytical support to increase visibility and implement streamlined business processes. The Operations Specialist will be a critical member of the Global Bid Desk team, ensuring that we provide high-quality service to our internal customers in a timely manner. The role will support day to day operations and Global feedback with the Deal Management Team. This group is responsible for working with Sales, Finance/Revenue, Legal and other cross functional teams to facilitate accurate deal structure to our worldwide sales teams.
You will be a member of a team responsible for enabling the sales function by providing accurate and complete responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires. Working alongside your colleagues and the Sales Organization, you will create on-brand and informative responses that will give Commvault a competitive advantage in the bid process. As necessary, you will coordinate with other internal teams, such as Legal, Compliance, and Product, to ensure responses are in line with their guidance.
Position Responsibilities
- Outline requirements and prepare proposal documents for RFP, RFI, and other bid responses globally
- Engage with other departments to complete and review response requirements
- Execute periodic reporting on Bid Desk engagements to understand trends
- Manage global request queue and respond or engage appropriate individuals as necessary
- Implement efficient internal business processes
- Proposal writing skills
Position Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 1–3 years of work experience in software industry or sales operation preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Understanding of software or SaaS industry
- Experience with CRMs and ticket management systems preferred; Salesforce.com experience is a plus
- Responsive, accountable, and able to collaborate effectively within and across teams
- Highly effective communication skills
- Capable of explaining concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage high volumes at month and quarter ends to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to drive results
- Must be detail oriented
