Job Description

Reporting to the PMO Manager, the PMO Senior Analyst will be an integral part of the PMO Team within Group Technology Services, who govern and enable the successful and efficient delivery of our change portfolio, from large, complex projects/programmes to more incremental product enhancements, in support of the achievement of Together’s business objectives and corporate strategy.

The Senior PMO Analyst will play a pivotal role in enforcing, and evolving, our change delivery framework and will need to build effective working relationships with both Change and Business colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring our deliverables are always valuable, insightful and meet our stakeholders’ high quality standards.

The Senior PMO Analyst should be able to seamlessly deputise for the PMO Manager when required, and will also be responsible for coaching and developing more junior members of the PMO Team to ensure our products and service provision meet or exceed our business needs and commitments

Duties Include:

  • Take full ownership for the management and delivery of one or more core PMO services – typically governance and reporting, portfolio management, financial management, risk and issue management, capacity management, stakeholder engagement and communications, 1st line change assurance and adherence to policies and standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Execute and deliver core PMO services – often in parallel - in a controlled manner, ensuring they are delivered consistently to the highest standards and aligned to commitments made.
  • Provide coaching and thought leadership for our Team of PMO Analysts and Co-ordinators to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Change, Group Technology Services and wider Business to embed and evolve our Change Delivery Framework and its underpinning change governance, control, process and risk management models.
  • Ensure key Change portfolio artefacts, tools and/or knowledge repositories are regularly reviewed and refreshed/re-purposed etc
  • Ensure source data integrity, intervening if assurance activities indicate data quality is questionable

Qualifications

Whilst you will have day to day support from the PMO Manager and our Analyst and Coordinators, you will be expected to own, shape and architect work. We have a work at pace/ fail fast and learn environment and we need someone who thrives in that type of environment.

  • proven experience as a PMO Analyst / Co-ordinator or similar Project support role

  • Self-motivated and logical thinker, not afraid to challenge the norm and apply a ‘test and learn’ approach to evolve and enhance processes and/or core deliverables.
  • Technically proficient with portfolio management and collaboration tools, with expertise in the Microsoft suite of applications advantageous (i.e. Azure DevOps, Sharepoint, MS Office Suite, in particular M365, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, MS Teams etc)
  • Innate ability to manage multiple demands in a dynamic, challenging environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and transform that into actionable insights
  • Excellent team player who embraces an inclusive ‘one team’ approach to work, regularly demonstrating passion and drive for continuous improvement and professional self-development.
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to Stakeholder and relationship management.
  • Positive and pro-active mind-set, someone who colleagues always enjoy working with.
