Job Description
Purpose Of The Internship
As an intern within the Internal Control & Risk team you help in ensuring the adequacy, effectiveness, and accuracy of the non-financial reporting process. You will provide support with the collection of data and subsequently, with the coordination of drafting non-financial reports. The Internal Control & Risk team is within the finance department but operates in a cross-functional manner as key stakeholders are spread across the whole company. These can be, but are not limited to: Human Resources, Sustainability and Sourcing. You will assist in preparing our first CSRD report. Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is an EU-legislation, requiring Rituals to disclose specific ESG-related metrics. This effort involves both operational work and long-term strategic thinking.
Qualifications
Your Role
You will be reporting to the Head of Internal Control & Risk. You will (together with your manager and other team members) interact with local and middle management in the business. Your main focus will be to support the team with several non-financial reports on local level to comply with laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be working on delivering reporting metrics in line with CSRD requirements.
You will gain insight into various areas of the business by learning about the processes, communicating with various stakeholders, and through the internship challenge.
Your Accountabilities
- You will support the non-financial reporting on local-level
- Collect and analyze data related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance
- You will support on getting Rituals CSRD-ready
- You will participate in the internship challenge
- Support with updating policies, actions and targets
- Design and implement reporting metrics in line with Rituals’ ESG-related policies
Your Ingredients
- Student (University or HBO level) – in the direction of business, finance & control or sustainability;
- You have strong analytical and creative skills;
- You are positive minded and have a hands-on approach;
- You are critical, accurate and structured;
- You have eye for detail;
- You have an interest in Finance and Sustainability
- You are fluent in English both written and verbal
- You are available from first of February 2026 for 5-6 months
