The Sales Director, On Premise is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the On Premise sales function for Red Bull New Zealand. This includes driving strategy and performance across bars, clubs, festivals, socializing venues, catering locations, and the management of the On Premise Field Sales Team. catering, study locations as well as management of the On Premise Field Sales team. This role is regarded as a leading and highly respected manager within Red Bull New Zealand, Regionally & Globally.

Job Description

Strategic Ownership In Sales

  • Develop and execute NZ channel strategies utilising global and regional insights while ensuring local relevance
  • Set, measure and achieve channel sales volume, visibility, pricing and profitability targets
  • Develop multi-year business strategies and plans, channel and trade sales & profit plans.
  • Drive innovation in distribution, trade marketing, and sales approaches to align with current trends.
  • Build and maintain strategic multi-level customer relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead market intelligence efforts to stay informed about field activities and competitor actions.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and trade marketing spend.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to meet international standards.

On Premise Team Leadership

  • Promote and uphold Red Bull values: Professionalism, Focus, Responsibility, Passion.
  • Cultivate a motivated, productive, innovative team while embracing Red Bull’s unique brand culture.
  • Lead and role model a strong but professional party and socialise culture in ways that only Red Bull can.
  • Coach and develop talent within the team; recruit as needed.
  • Strengthen cross-department collaboration and knowledge sharing.

LEADERSHIP WITHIN NZLT (NEW ZEALAND LEADERSHIP TEAM)

  • Provide expertise representing On Premise within NZLT.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning, including Red Bull NZ's five-year strategic plan.
  • Understand all NZLT functions and their KPIs
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across all functions of NZLT.
  • Uphold one-wallet investment strategies to drive business growth.

Qualifications

  • Sales strategy formulation and execution.
  • Leadership of high-energy, innovative teams.
  • Relationship-building and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Aligned with the Culture and brand values: innovative, witty, professional, contemporary, self-ironic, ingenious and hard-working
  • 8–10 years’ experience in Sales Management with a strong track record, including Field Sales.
  • Proven success in the On Premise market, managing KPIs and implementing trade strategies.
  • Strong technical skills: data analysis, category management, forecasting, relationship building.
  • Experienced in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker with sharp business acumen and an alignment to Red Bull’s values.
  • Comfortable navigating corporate, regional, and matrixed organisational structures.
