The Portfolio Brand Manager is responsible for driving Red Bull growth by ensuring we have the right products in the right channels, available at the right moments of need, to profitably grow the brand & Red Bull Australia business. Through stakeholder management and excellent project leadership, they will launch all new products, drive performance of existing SKUs and work on ensuring our ‘non core’ range grows consistently in all channels. They will be the lead on all portfolio related topics and drive collaboration between sales, marketing, category, operations & finance to drive & deliver our annual product strategy, which supports our broader business priorities for Red Bull Australia.
Job Description
Drive Product Strategy & Results
- Support the development and execution of Red Bull Australia's portfolio strategy, through collaboration with Brand, Global, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Lead the Portfolio team in creating and implementing strategies for all SKUs, including permanent, limited edition, in-and-out, and retailer-specific products.
- Drive growth of the Red Bull Editions range by working with Channel & Category teams to tailor strategies for retail and impulse customers.
- Work with the Marketing team on the improvement of our investments and focus on portfolio and provide new opportunities for NPD within our plans.
- Analyse and interpret consumer and shopper insights, including data sets from sales & category tools to drive portfolio decision-making and deliver commercial impact.
- Track and analyse New Product Development (NPD) performance, ensuring targets for distribution, sales, execution, and activation are met.
Portfolio Leadership & Management
- Manage yearly portfolio planning, including HQ approvals, launch templates, and operational submissions.
- Collaborate with Operations to forecast SKU performance and minimise write off risks.
- Partner with Sales to address ranging risks early using category, consumer, and shopper insights.
- Establish cross-functional processes to proactively manage the portfolio and grow Editions’ performance and market share.
- Collaborate with HQ on global market examples and best practices to help us to share more compelling stories to our retailers.
Product Launches
- Oversee the development of launch assets, collaborating with HQ for global materials and the local team for tailored support.
- Apply insights from past launches and competitors to ensure excellence and effectiveness in every launch.
- Set clear targets and milestones for new product launches to track performance and adjust as needed.
Vision & Innovation
- Share updates on competitor activity and inspiration from other brands to ensure we remain ahead of the curve.
- Drive continuous learning and innovation by challenging norms and collaborating with other markets and categories.
- Participate in customer meetings to present NPD plans in an engaging way, gather feedback, and refine strategies to maintain leadership in category growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Events, or equivalent experience (minimum 7+ years).
- Creative thinker and innovator, having led program from ideation to execution.
- Strong knowledge of markets, sales, distribution, competitor activity, consumer behavior, shopper insights, category management, and business analytics within an FMCG context.
