Job Description
Overview
The Treasury Operations department is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team. This essential role focuses on funding, securities settlements, and comprehensive portfolio reporting, including derivative products, deposit programs, and Foreign Exchange. You will play a key part in assisting traders with the precise processing of interest rate swaps and caps, ensuring operational excellence and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Client Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for Account Officers and Clients, managing confirmations and maintaining accurate accounts for future payments.
- Money Market & Collateral Oversight: Process complex overnight money market trades and diligently monitor collateral, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation.
- Securities Transaction Processing: Execute securities transactions, generate precise cash projections, and manage principal and interest reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Process Optimization: Actively contribute to enhancing existing departmental structures and workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and control improvements.
- Derivatives & Securities Settlements: Lead the settlement process for a diverse range of trading products, including:
- Collateral Management: Proactively monitor and reconcile daily mark-to-market movements with counterparties, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Static Data Management: Maintain and update critical static databases for both counterparty and market data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships and effectively communicate with Trading Desk, Front Office, Finance, IT, and Risk teams to swiftly resolve complex issues and ensure seamless operations.
- Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS)
- Interest Rate Swaps and Caps
- Fed Funds, Overnight Borrowings, and Repurchase Agreements (REPO).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields, plus 5-7 years of progressive experience in Fixed Income Trading operations.
- Specialized Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Interest Rate Swaps is a mandatory requirement.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential for daily tasks and reporting. Experience with Spectrum, Oracle, Paragon, and Intellimatch software is a plus.
- Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to collective success.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
Additional Information
Compensation:
The expected annual salary for this position is between $100,000-120,000 annually at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
