About The Role
The post-training team at Turing transforms powerful pre-trained models to become steerable, versatile, and capable of understanding and addressing real-world challenges.
As a post-training engineer, you will enhance the model's reasoning and coding ability to fulfill our mission – developing AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and generate novel insights.
What You’Ll Work On
- Define and execute strategies to advance model quality, reasoning, and coding capabilities.
- Improving data mixtures by building data collection pipelines and developing data generation techniques to create high-quality, diverse training mixtures.
- Creating generalizable reward models and reinforcement learning algorithms.
- Designing and implementing robust and scalable model evaluations.
- Designing and implementing large-scale model training frameworks.
- Collaborating with reasoning, data, multimodal, applied, product efforts to integrate cutting-edge research into tangible model advancements.
What We’Re Looking For
- Deep expertise in ML and fine-tuning small or large language models.
- A proven track record in leading or contributing to research that has meaningfully advanced the field of AI.
- Hands-on experience improving LLM behavior through data-driven methods and advanced reinforcement learning techniques.
- Experience in developing benchmarks.
- Familiarity with optimizing models for complex challenges, such as multi-modality, long-context reasoning, or multi-agent systems.
- Optional: Experience building infra for large-scale reinforcement learning
Salary range: 170k–215k
