Job Purpose – Summary

As a Designer at our agency, your role extends beyond crafting visually impactful solutions; it centers on the art of conceptual thinking and the versatility to design for diverse outputs and channels. Your responsibility encompasses not only creating designs that leave a lasting visual impression but also delves into the intricacies of understanding client needs. In this dynamic role, you will actively engage with clients, listening keenly to their objectives and requirements. Your design decisions will be a product of this client-centric approach, aligned with briefs established in collaboration with the client, creative director, or account manager. Your creative acumen will shine as you develop innovative ideas and concepts, adeptly choosing the most suitable media and style to achieve the client's goals.

As a key contributor within our client-focused, multidisciplinary teams, you will closely collaborate with Senior Designers, Art Directors, and the account team and producers. Your ability to conceptualize and adapt designs for various outputs and channels will be pivotal, ensuring that your work seamlessly fits the specific needs of each project. Proficiency in design and typography is a given, and our designers are well-versed in utilizing the leading design and animation tools, typically backed by a comprehensive education in the design and multimedia field.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Graphic Design

  • Social-First Content: Create visually impactful content optimized for social platforms, demonstrating "thumb-stopping" quality.
  • Brand Guideline Adherence: Understand and apply brand boundaries and guidelines to bring out the best of the brand on digital platforms.
  • Visual Asset Creation: Create graphics and edit photos that effectively convey brand essence on digital platforms.
  • Motion Graphics: Produce short-form videos and GIFs.

Creativity

  • Content Innovation: Actively participate in the creative process to develop content that resonates at the speed of culture.
  • Idea Generation: Develop creative ideas, suggest innovative ways of delivering content, and stay updated with the latest marketing trends.
  • Real-time Engagement: Utilize social media listening to create content that taps into current trends and makes the brand relevant in real-time.

Teamwork

  • Collaboration: Work effectively as a great communicator and team player with assigned teams to create and develop campaigns.
  • Brief Interpretation: Collaborate with Content Managers and Community Managers to generate ideas from briefs for client presentation.
  • Campaign Execution: Work on designs to produce effective advertising campaigns.
  • Specialist Coordination: Collaborate with the assigned team and Content Excellence to commission specialists (e.g., artists, photographers) for projects.
  • Project Management: Manage projects and work within specified timelines with minimal to no supervision.

PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience: 4+ years of content creation experience for digital channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
