Java Scala Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of complex software systems and applications
• Architect solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guiding them through best practices and technical challenges
• Refactor and optimize existing codebases for efficiency and maintainability
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure software quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project roadmaps and technical strategies
• Integrate third-party software and services into the bank’s technology ecosystem
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and advocate for continuous improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with Java and Scala
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and architecture
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
• Proven ability in performance optimization and ensuring scalability
• Hands-on experience designing and executing complex test scenarios
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and present summaries to stakeholders
• High proficiency in software design and architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
