Overview
Otterbein is a vibrant, faith-based, not-for-profit ministry serving older adults throughout Ohio and Indiana. Through the Otterbein Staffing Agency (OSA), we’re seeking experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrators to step in on a PRN or interim basis.
As a PRN/Interim LNHA, you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services in both Neighborhood and Community settings. You’ll nurture an environment where elders and partners thrive, ensuring that each Neighborhood and Community operate with excellence, compassion, and integrity.
This flexible position is ideal for administrators who enjoy variety and the chance to make an immediate impact. You’ll support multiple Otterbein locations and may have the opportunity to transition into a standard full-time leadership role if a need arises.
Travel: up to 100% depending on transition leadership needs.
- Lodging provided if over 1 hour commute from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned Neighborhoods and Communities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Otterbein policies.
- Safeguard the Otterbein culture and champion person-centered care.
- Develop and maintain systems for clear communication with elders, families, and partners, resolving concerns and strengthening engagement.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Clinical Support Team (CST) and other department leaders.
- Drive quality outcomes, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Select, coach, and mentor partners while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
- Represent Otterbein in marketing, public relations, and community outreach efforts.
- Serve as risk manager and participate in Quality Assurance Committees to address safety and security issues.
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Nursing Home Administrator license
- Bachelor’s degree in Health/Long-Term Administration, Business, Gerontology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- At least three years of long-term care administrator experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to honor elder autonomy and make prompt, accurate judgments in emergencies
- Comfortable working across multiple Neighborhoods and Communities and supporting transitions
