Senior Executive, Data and Analytics

The Office of Data and Analytics (ODA) at NTU is seeking an individual who is detailed-oriented with a flair for numbers to apply for this role. The main scope is in cleaning of survey datasets, processing data and servicing dashboards. It is crucial for ensuring data accuracy for all institutional indicators and reports to senior management and the Ministry of Education (MOE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean pre-survey and post-survey datasets.
• Maintain data preparation guidelines file.
• Check through questionnaire and rectify routing errors.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of online questionnaire.
• Upload and maintain dashboard sheets and access grants to stakeholders.
• Conduct small-scale studies and write codes to resolve data issues and improve dashboard capabilities.
• Cross-check reports against dashboards and datasets for accuracy.
• Liaise with vendors to amend any data discrepancies.
• Work closely with internal & external colleagues on extraction, cleaning, updating and dissemination of datasets.
• Assist in the logistics and administrative tasks for committee meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research/IT.
• Two years in processing large datasets and/or using business intelligence tools.
• Work experience in educational institution is a plus.
• Statistics knowledge such as correlation, regression and t-test.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Qlik Sense or Microsoft Power BI.
• Programming language skills such as Python or R is a plus.
• Detailed oriented with a flair for working with numbers.
• Able to multi-task work assignments/projects.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
