Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of the business; act as business partner in one or more HR areas.
- Has established partnerships across the organization, cultivating a supportive environment.
- Influences and improves broad HR processes and procedures.
- Uses reporting and metrics available to help drive decisions.
- Manage confidential files and other privileged information.
- Lead Human Resources training efforts.
- Supervise and mentor other staff as needed.
- Work independently and is a resource to others in solving broad problems encountered.
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field
- Typically eight years experience within Human Resources or a related field
- Solid knowledge of laws and legal practices and procedures as it pertains to HR area
- Ability to partner with and align diverse groups
- Excellent listening, coaching, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical ability and problem resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
- Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently, accepting ownership for assigned responsibilities
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with an HRIS system and processes
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL (where applicable)
- Negative drug test result(s) (where applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM certification
