  • Sunday – Wednesday: Approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Thursday: Approximately 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

You will apply data science, analytics, and your impressive technical and logistical aptitudes to make sure that our products are processed efficiently. Your passion meets your vision when it comes to working the data, solving problem statements, gap analysis and asking the all-important question of “What if …?”

As an Onsite Representative supporting Target’s third-party logistics operations team, you will serve as primary partner and sole representative for the third-party logistics site, on Target’s behalf as part of the Last Mile team.  In this role, you will focus on providing the optimum level of service to Target’s Supply Chain partners and influencing the total capacity and fiscal performance for the third-party logistics site. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining open communications with internal and external customers and suppliers to support this business. You will also work to maintain and communicate an enterprise-wide focus with an emphasis on Supply Chain initiatives and goals, while working closely and collaboratively with third-party logistics providers to achieve critical business initiatives.

  • Daily Sort Completion, Sort Accuracy, Delivery to Promise and other key performance indicator monitoring and escalations. Daily monitoring of dispatches and partner/transportation escalations based on Linehaul or transportation opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Shipt and GSCL Fulfillment & Last Mile partners in order to effectively partner with upstream store, middle mile transportation and Target Last Mile Delivery operations. 
  • Partner with the third-party site leader to foster a culture of continuous improvement with a primary focus on problem solving and operational efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain an effective partnership with the third-party leadership team as an operational subject matter expert to foster clear communication and collaboration across organizations.
  • Have a high bar for operational and cultural results.
  • Ensure performance plans are set, achieved, maintained, and continuously improved. Influence a strategic partner and build ability to impact and educate throughout the total supply chain process, from our Fulfillment centers to our guests/stores to Shipt.
  • Influence a safe workplace by advocating safety training, hazard prevention and emergency preparedness.
  • Operate as a total business owner through both operational results and long-term strategic initiatives. Serve as a coordination partner with multiple partners.
  • Successfully manage the execution of ad hoc requests

About You:

  • Four-year degree or a minimum of 3+ years in a managerial/supervisory role in the manufacturing, production, or distribution environment  
  • Advanced knowledge of structured problem solving
  • Demonstrated proficiency in structured problem-solving tools. (DMAIC, Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, Process Mapping, 5S, Fishbone) 
  • Demonstrated experience with WMS applications (experience with driving system improvements preferred) 
  • Change agent with strong credibility and the ability influence while working with a 3PL and in cross functional teams. 
  • Experience leading and influencing a team with common or shared goal; providing purpose, motivation, direction and coaching for performance and development. 
  • Proven strength in problem solving and advanced data/ statistical analysis. 
  • Project management skills including scoping, problem statements, goal definition, and timeline management 
  • Experience with performance metrics, key performance indicators and process improvement 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, time management, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrate high levels of proficiency in conflict management and partnership. 
  • Must be able to occasionally flex hours including holidays as business demands require.  
  • Able to access all areas of the facility.
  • Some travel may be required, especially during training period and capability expansion.
