As a Simulation Technology CAD engineer, you will be responsible for developing and releasing simulation flows based on EDA vendor tools. Simulation tools would include those for circuit simulation, timing simulations (including library characterization), logic simulation, and power network analysis. To facilitate this, you will be collaborating with not only the global CAD team members but also with the global design and verification organizations to acquire their needs to develop solutions which will enhance the productivity and speed of simulations. You will also be working with the simulation tool EDA vendors to facilitate fixing tool issues and to propose new functionality which would be advantageous for Micron.
Cadエンジニアとして、論理・回路設計に関わる検証効率化や検証品質向上を目的としたEdaツール(各種シミュレータ)の利用技術の確立、及び、検証手法やフローの開発・評価・運用を担当します。この分野には、回路シミュレーション、タイミングシミュレーション(ライブラリ特性評価を含む) 、論理シミュレーション、電源ネットワーク解析等の技術・ツールが含まれます。業務遂行に当たっては、より円滑且つ効果的に、シミュレーション生産性やパフォーマンス向上へと繋がるソリューションを提供する為、グローバルな設計・検証チームとも連携し、課題やニーズの把握に取り組みます。更に、Edaベンダー各社と協力しながら、これらツールの問題点を分析・改善することで、Micronにとって有利な新機能を提案します。
- Develop new methodologies with respect to the Micron simulation environment for one or few of the simulation technologies listed above and implement them into the common CAD design environment being used globally for DRAM and/or NAND products.
- Communicate and collaborate with global CAD members to develop and support these simulation flows.
- Actively connect with external EDA vendors to acquire information on new vendor tools/flows, request additional capabilities, and fix bugs. Test/evaluate these tools/flows for implementation and release into the Micron simulation environment.
- Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods.
- Participate in design “Lessons Learned” meetings to receive feedback on improvements and then drive those improvements.

- グローバル・チームとの協業により、これらシミュレーション手法の開発・サポートを実施します。
- EDAベンダー各社と連携し、新しいEDA技術やフローに関する情報取得・導入、また、既存ツールへの新機能組み込みや不具合修正にも取り組みます。これらのツール/フローは、事前テスト/評価をした上で、Micron標準設計環境としてリリースします。
- 新しいツールや手法に関するトレーニングやサポート、ガイドライン等ドキュメントをエンドユーザーに提供します。
- Design Reviewを介して、改善に関するフィードバックを受け取り、それらの改善を推進します。
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of the following:
- Understand and have experience using chip design environments, especially using simulation tools (e.g. Cadence SpectreFX and Xcelium, Synopsys PrimeSim series).
- Understand the concepts of logic and circuit simulation technology and be able to analyze/trouble-shoot issues when these tools are used in design.
- Knowledge of DRAM and NAND chip design to help in providing simulation solutions when used for design.
- Have experience in programming in Python and Cadence SKILL, with perl and C/C++ also a plus.
- Have a willingness to learn the above items if experience is limited.
- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- 論理・回路設計及びシミュレーション技術の概念を理解し、それに基づく課題抽出・分析・解決能力を有すること。
- DRAM/NAND回路設計・検証の知識に基づき適切かつ効果的なシミュレーションソリューションを提供できること。
- プロセス技術に関する基本的な知識を有すること。
- Python、Perl、C/C++等のプログラミングスキルを有すること。Cadence Skill開発経験があれば尚良し。
- 優れたコミュニケーション能力と問題解決能力を有すること。
- これらの経験が限定的である場合、各項目を学ぶ意欲が必要です。
