Position Summary:
The student will work with PhD students and Postdoctoral scholars in the AFL to further our understanding of metal combustion science by applying advanced optical diagnostic tools, including absorption spectroscopy, to laminar and turbulent metal flames. The candidate will perform an experimental risk analysis and develop an experimental plan and risk mitigation plan. The student is expected to present research progress at weekly team meetings and to submit a final report on the project at the end of the position.
Qualifications:
Must be a registered undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering Dept.
