Summary:
The INSPIRE (Interdisciplinary Social and Public Health Intervention Research for Equity) lab is hiring a Research Assistant to support Dr. Petruzzi’s federally funded grant, ‘Improving Perinatal Mental Health among Latinas through a Culturally Adapted, Multi-Level Intervention”.
The research assistant will help with IRB application management, including amendments and modifications. The RA will also build and test surveys in Qualtrics, as well as create a qualitative interview guide. The RA will create slides for community advisory board (CAB) meetings, as well as take notes at CAB meetings and summarize overall themes and takeaways. The RA will receive training in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
Essential Functions:
- The candidate will assist with literature reviews for peer-reviewed articles as well as writing peer-reviewed articles and reports. The candidate will assist with the preparation of results for presentation to the scientific community, including papers and reports, oral reports, poster presentations, and conference materials.
- The RA will receive training in quantitative or qualitative data collection and analysis. This requires accurate handling of data and an understanding of how to communicate scientifically to a variety of audiences.
- The RA will also build and test surveys in Qualtrics, as well as collect quantitative and/or qualitative data.
- The candidate supports this project by completing administrative tasks such as maintaining and updating required documentation, such as data dictionaries. This also includes upholding high ethical standards such as confidentiality and the completion of CITI training.
- The research assistant will assist with gathering and submitting Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation (questionnaires, consent forms, flyers, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
- Part-time.
- Student.
- 10 hours per week.
Salary Range:
- $17.95 per hour (This position is grant-funded, and continuation is dependent upon funding.)
Required Education And Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Less than one year or relevant experience.
Preferred Education And Experience:
- 1-3 years or relevant experience.
