As the UX/UI Lead for the MITDC design team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling high-quality design execution across our digital products. You will guide the team in applying regional design strategies to local contexts, ensuring solutions are user-centered, scalable, and aligned with business goals. As a member of the Asia Segment Experience Design community, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to lead user research, uncover pain points, and transform insights into effective design concepts and high-fidelity prototypes. Your leadership will ensure that design decisions are deeply rooted in real user needs and aligned with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leading the design team to deliver high-quality, user-centred solutions across platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Providing expert guidance and mentorship, helping team members grow professionally and produce impactful design outcomes.
- Managing design resources effectively across multiple projects, balancing priorities and timelines.
- Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to support successful product delivery, helping define problem statements, validate assumptions, and translate insights into actionable design strategies.
- Solving complex business and user challenges through design thinking, systems thinking, and data-informed decision-making.
- Ensuring design outputs reflect the company’s brand identity, maintaining consistency and quality across touchpoints.
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product management, CX, and service design teams, resolving challenges through clear communication and shared understanding.
- Championing innovation, encouraging smart risks and new ideas that push the boundaries of design.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Psychology, Human-factors or similar discipline.
Technical
- At least 3 years of experience in leading design teams with the ability to guide team members fostering design outputs.
- At least 10 years of dedicated UX design experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
- Possesses strong expertise in design principles and systems thinking, with the ability to translate design concepts into tangible outputs. Provides professional design guidance and technical mentorship to the design team
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders, effectively resolving challenges through clear and strategic communication.
- Proficient in designing complex digital design solutions across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms, with extensive experience in HCD processes, usability testing methodologies, and accessibility standards.
- Capable of overseeing and ensuring the delivery of qualified design outputs that reflect the business value objectives and meet the business requirements.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide the team in addressing the right challenges through effective and holistic solutions.
- Understands market and design language trends, and leverages that insight to influence and optimize the design direction of the company’s products.
- Oversee design delivery quality through structured QA checkpoints and feedback loops, ensuring alignment with regional standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Translate regional design standards into execution guidance for MITDC teams, ensuring consistency and scalability across markets.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, misalignments, and blockers early, ensuring smooth progress and stakeholder alignment.
- Facilitate design review milestones and consolidate feedback across regions and markets to drive continuous improvement.
- Own design execution across MITDC and regional teams, coordinating review checkpoints and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
Communication
- Excellent and effective communication and persuasive skills are required.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
