Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Change Management Specialist to support our client’s Global Workplace Design Standards team. This role is critical to the ongoing management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of global workplace design standards, processes, and documentation. The Specialist will ensure that standards are accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and effectively implemented across all global workplaces.
This is a full-time, client-facing position based in Cupertino, CA, requiring onsite presence three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in architectural and design principles, change management, and content governance, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Global Workplace Design Standards content, including guidelines (e.g., space, signage, acoustics, lighting, furniture), specifications, space typologies, and product documentation.
- Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the client’s brand, values, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across architecture, design, engineering, workplace strategy, and technology to validate proposed changes.
- Manage version control and archiving of standards documentation to ensure accessibility and traceability.
- Document and maintain processes related to the development, approval, implementation, and maintenance of standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent application across projects.
- Manage the change management process for standards updates, including stakeholder communication and training.
- Manage and maintain standards content within internal tools (e.g., Chorus, Box), ensuring accuracy and ease of navigation.
- Collaborate with Workplace Technology to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
- Gather user feedback to enhance the functionality and usability of internal platforms.
- Develop and maintain training programs to educate users on the standards and how to apply them effectively.
- Create communication materials such as presentations, newsletters, and FAQs to support awareness and adoption.
- Serve as a point of contact for questions and feedback related to the standards.
- Track key metrics related to standards implementation and usage.
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for the Workplace Design Standards Manager on program performance.
- Work closely with the Workplace Design Standards Manager to align activities with broader program goals.
- Coordinate with external consultants and internal cross-functional teams as needed.
- Support the rollout of change management initiatives and ensure alignment with evolving workplace strategies.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Ability to work onsite in Cupertino, CA three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in project or program management, standards development, or workplace design.
- Strong understanding of architectural and design principles, with experience applying them in a corporate or workplace setting.
- Proven experience in standards management, content governance, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and experience supporting change rollouts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Experience developing and delivering training and facilitation materials.
- Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Revit or other BIM software is a plus.
- Technical aptitude and experience working with internal content management systems (e.g., intranet sites, knowledge bases).
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
