Maintenance Supervisor – Seneca Battery

Position Summary

Ensures an ongoing and smooth operation of the Maintenance team with optimal use of resources. Supervises a team of Maintenance staff to continually improve safety, quality, production, and delivery performance.

Standard Duties:

• Responsible for achieving the daily Key Performance Indicators for the area managed such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and continuous improvement
• Coach, supervise, and develop a group of maintenance technicians aligned with the Skills Matrix is expected.
• Evaluates staffing needs and assigns available resources where appropriate to support other areas is expected from self or direct reports.
• Consistently applies and executes BorgWarner policies and standards
• Manages performance reviews and time keeping for area managed daily
• Conducts layered audits and ensures that operational processes such as PMs, lockout/tag out, PPE audits, etc. are being followed consistently
• Ensures all shift assigned equipment is routinely maintained
• Execute daily maintenance production plan and continuous improvement activities as set by management
• Analyze production data and take appropriate action for continuous improvement
• Prepare documentation and lead compliance to a planned maintenance program
• Collaborate with assembly line managers to deliver needed results
• Lead Investigations related to Controls and/or Production Maintenance issues and recommend solutions
• Partner with engineers to ensure system capability of new equipment purchases and systems integrations
• Drive team to deliver quality work to reduce systemic/repeated work orders

Education & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in related discipline is required
• 8 plus years of experience in manufacturing related field, preferably Maintenance field
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment
• At least 3 years of Lean Manufacturing experience recommended
• Ability to train a team of maintenance personnel

Safety And Physical Requirements:

• Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas.
• Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week not including lunches.

Salary Range:
