Pratt & Whitney has an immediate opportunity within our Columbus Engine Center (CEC) Finance team for a FP&A Principal Specialist.

This is an onsite position based out of our facilities in Columbus, Georgia.

Columbus Engine Center is a global leader in the MRO industry, focused on overhauling Geared Turbofan (GTF) commercial aircraft engines, in addition to F117 military engines and F100 military engine modules.   

Having recently completed an 81,000 square-foot expansion of its GTF overhaul facility, CEC is poised to increase its annual GTF overhauls by 50% in the next several years (following a 55% increase in GTF overhauls and 260% in GTF revenues over the past 6 years).

What You Will Do:

CEC’s finance team is responsible for the full spectrum of activities relating to accounting, internal controls and financial planning and analysis.  Over time, each team member has the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, depending on business need and development interests.    

The primary responsibilities of this role include analysis of actual results and development of financial plans and forecasts.  Typical deliverables include reporting and analysis related to sales and engine margins, operating expenses, headcount, direct labor hours and effectiveness, inventory, capital expenditures, and manpower capacity planning. 

You will work closely with cross-functional departments such as operations, quality, engineering, purchasing and customer service, and will have opportunities to interact with members of CEC’s leadership team in developing plans and forecasts, and to identify opportunities to optimize CEC’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Support monthly P&L closing and forecast activities for CEC.

- Coordinate, prepare and present variance analyses of key business drivers for performance vs. plan, forecast and prior year, including leadership briefings.

- Weekly business metrics analysis and explanation.

- Prepare materials for executive meetings including presentations and supporting documents.

- Support the preparation of CEC’s annual and long-range financial plans.

- Participate in the department’s process improvement initiatives using the CORE framework.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.

- U.S. Citizenship required for program work.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- Experience in OneStream software.

- Experience with FP&A.

- Strong Data Analytics experience.

- Independent, motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvement.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
