Raytheon is seeking a Program Manager for the Defensive Effector FOR Engaging unmanned Systems (DEFENSE) and Shielding Our Nation In Combat (SONIC) contracts within the Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) organization.
The DEFENSE and SONIC programs are providing hardware for the US Army’s counter unmanned aerial system (CUAS) fixed site and mobile missions. In addition to the hardware to be provided to the Army, there are also multiple non-recurring engineering efforts to be executed on the contract working with the missile Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
In this role, you will be responsible for execution of the DEFENSE and SONIC contracts.. You will lead the daily coordination and execution of the program working with the IPT as they execute their development, procurement, and production scope. You will also be responsible for all facets of the program to include financial oversight for the development and production teams.
What You Will Do
- Responsibility for financial, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
- Coordination of suppliers/teammates for effective execution.
- Multidisciplinary team leadership, strategy development, internal and external program reviews, program execution assessments through direct customer engagement, proposal preparation, supplier management, program management status reporting, and generation of work authorizations (IOTs), statements of work (SOWs), and specifications.
- Align the priorities and provide clear direction; actively manage risk mitigation, cost savings and schedule mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the day-to-day customer interface for detailed status and technical performance.
- Must anticipate and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business based on sound weapons technical experience and contract execution.
- Direct the performance of program task elements such as engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, and administrative functions in the execution of required gate reviews and financial activities as well as program execution.
- Ability to travel domestically as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience is required
- Experience as a Program Manager
- Experience with testing and demonstration events on customer ranges and/or military equipment procurement/production
- Experience with the Army or other DOD community
- Experience managing programs while meeting financial, schedule and performance requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master’s in Business Administration
- Program Management Level 3 Certification (or equivalent) or ability to achieve within 12 months
- Effective communication (to include technical writing, presentation preparation & presentation delivery), organization, and problem-solving skills
- Effective team building and leadership skills
- Ability to monitor, interact and maintain execution synergy and focus for multiple diverse technical teams to support customer goals
- IMS and EVMS implementation and execution, to include meeting EAC requirements
- Experience with quick turn proposals as the proposal manager
- Strong (financial management background) in order to maintain effective EAC management for a highly flexible, fast paced flight test schedule

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
