Position Summary
The Senior Engineer-Safety, is a member of the construction EHS team. This person is a self-starter that is able to operate independently with minimal oversight and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to coordinate with personnel at all levels of the organization is paramount. Additionally, they will be responsible for partnering with contractor organizations to provide oversight and coaching, and serve as a front-line resource to accomplish work safely.Role And Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
• Develop and control site metrics and dashboards.
• Big data analytics and presentations tailored to specific audiences
• Conduct incident investigations, assist contractors in identification of root cause, help to determine corrective actions, and support implementation after presentation of approved 8D materials.
• Mentor and coach Safety Technicians on the EHS team as required by job scope.
Skills And Qualifications
Here’s What You’ll Bring to Samsung:
- 4 Year Bachelor Degree from accredited University with a focus in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety. Masters degree is a plus.• 12+ years of field safety experience in industrial or heavy civil construction, transportation, or related field is required.
- CSP, CIH or other professional certification required or ability to obtain.• Expert level computer skills including Office 365 productivity suite and familiarity with Safety database software.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- • Knowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA 1926.
- • Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
- • Self-motivated, able to accomplish assignments with minimal oversight.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- • Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.

The current base salary range for this role is between $94,260 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
