With Securities-Based Lending, our private banking clients take out a loan with their securities portfolio as collateral. For our clients, these are the cheapest and most flexible loans, although they can be tricky as they leverage the portfolio which means that any up- or down turn is amplified. While ING has a high commercial ambition for Securities-Based Lending, in the Dutch market they face strong competition and show rapid technological developments.

Your Role

We are looking for a Customer Journey Expert, to join our Securities-Based Lending product team. The team is responsible for the maintenance and development of Securities-Based Lending products. You wil play a key role in developing and executing our strategies for improving customer experience and for rapid profitable growth of the Securities-Based Lending book.

As CJE you are delivering and developing everything around the Securities-Based Lending product as the center point between the market, clients, sales, and other internal parties such as Credit Risk, Finance, Compliance and IT.

You design and track customer journeys and create and deliver relevant Securities-Based Lending products, marketing and/or channel strategies with a focus on Lombard Loans, taking decisions based on customer data, being responsible for business outcomes, and coordinates with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders, in order to design new and continuously improve existing customer experiences. You report hierarchically to the PBWM Securities-Based Lending Product Lead.

Key Specific Responsibilities

  • Take ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating complex standardized business processes, in order to protect the organization from undue risks.
  • Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations on commercial trends. Help managers make effective decisions based on the data, and ensure they are clear on the implications.
  • Prioritize and help leaders address the most critical gaps in providing a meaningful customer experience; lead the development of road map to address root causes and redesign journeys.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of a life cycle of the Securities-Based Lending product, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.

Requirements

  • 3 -6 Years of experience in a banking environment.
  • Master’s degree
  • You are analytically strong and can structure complex problems. Furthermore, your analysis gives a clear view on potential for improvement and out-of-the-box thinking comes natural to you.
  • Proactive and eager to (further) build up knowledge of the Lending products, collaterals, covenants, IT Landscape and market.
  • You strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment.
  • You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals.
