Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Automation Manager regarding the development, planning and implementation of the Automation Master Plan.
  • It organizes, coordinates and controls the external specialist personnel necessary to carry out the required activities according to the guidelines and directives of the Automation Manager.
  • As part of its activities, it ensures compliance with the requirements on safety, health, and the environment.
  • It manages initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of production and plant maintenance operations, in particular initiatives related to the process automation of machines and plant plants.
  • Collaborates in guaranteeing and ensuring the management of the IT-OT infrastructure of the site.
  • It provides IT support for the purpose of reviewing flows and their standardization, thus ensuring the optimization of processes: i.e. the improvement of production effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation phase of Smart Factory systems.
  • It plays the role of SME for Smart Factory systems (OPC, Historian architecture, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning etc.).
  • It analyzes the necessary requirements and collaborates with the various departments, for the integration of equipment, plants and production systems for the definition of data exchange protocols aimed at the implementation of new technologies related to Industry 4.0 concepts. (e.g. Data Acquisition, Big Data - Business Intelligence - Machine Learning - IoT) in compliance with the architecture and solutions defined globally.
  • He is responsible for the acquisition of both business and GMPs data of equipment, plants, machines, both connected to the plant network and stand-alone, ensuring their correct historicization, consultation and correct restore.

Qualifications: Minimum Training & Education Requirements Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, or Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or related fields of a complex site (preferred)

Other Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of GxP environment and regulatory compliance (e.g. data Integrity requirements: CFR21 part 11, ALCOA principles etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English".
