Quality Assurance EngineerPurpose of the Role
The QA Engineer will be responsible for conducting various types of testing and certification activities on solutions based on the Web and/or Mobile App Software Development Kits (SDKs) within the Navitaire Digital Platform, as well as solutions based on the Navitaire Kiosk SDK. These SDKs are collections of software framework libraries compiled by Navitaire and used to develop applications that deliver user-friendly digital experiences to passengers. The Web App SDK supports rapid development of Single Page Application (SPA) websites, the Mobile App SDK enables cross-platform (.NET MAUI) native mobile experiences for Apple iOS and Google Android, and the Kiosk SDK supports self-service check-in workflows.
The QA Engineer will collaborate with a Scrum team that includes a Technical Architect/Development Lead, Business Analyst, UX Designer, Scrum Master, Developers, and QA Engineers to review and clarify requirements, create test cases, carry out tests, and ensure that the team’s output meets customer expectations.
In This Role You’Ll:
- Collaborate with an Agile Scrum team to develop consumer-facing Web and Mobile Apps that help Navitaire customers enhance their digital presence.
- Participate in Agile team meetings (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Work with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Development Team to refine the backlog and present testing considerations (strategy, scope, effort, dependencies).
- Create test cases, document results, and carry out component, integration, smoke, regression, exploratory, and performance testing.
- Support the investigation and resolution of functional production issues and contribute to quality reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute in generating a report related to software and delivery quality for internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote “quality excellence” and “customer service” mindset within team and influence other functions (development, business analysis) within the scrum team
- Contribute in training and assisting other Digital Services team members in various aspects of the work.
About The Ideal Candidate:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in Software Quality Assurance, Software Development, or Business/System Analysis (minimum 2 years).
- Able to work respectfully and effectively with customers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Good command of English (verbal and written) and able to communicate confidently in business settings.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new priorities in a flexible and evolving environment.
- Strong analytical skills. Proven ability to analyze and solve problems and issues effectively and quickly.
- Team player and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
- Have flexibility to occasionally attend early morning or evening calls (between 6:00am-8:00am or 8:00pm-11:00pm) when necessary to support a global customer base.
