Regulatory Compliance Specialist
- Applies regulatory experience to provide guidance relating to TCPA and FCC regulations on marketing and communication materials.
- Reviews and approves Medicare Advantage / PDP / Medicare Supplement and ACA marketing and communications materials and provides guidance on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and ACA marketing regulations.
- Provides executive summaries for proposed regulatory rules.
- Works with other areas of the organization on the development and implementation of process and system changes to continually meet the obligations and initiatives of a robust compliance program.
- Assists with the development of written policies and procedures regarding compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Assists internal business units with responding to carrier audits and related corrective action plans.
- Assists with internal audits and compliance monitoring.
- Coordinates and assists with the handling of insurance agent complaints.
- Assists with the development and implementation of risk assessments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ experience with health insurance or similar.
- 3 years’ experience with health insurance benefits and/or operations.
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, PDP, or MedSupp products.
- Familiarity with Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines (MCMG).
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze data reports.
- PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- 10-15% travel required
- This is an in-office position: 5 days in office (Dallas, TX).
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Telephone Consumer Protection Act
- Experience with Federal Communications Commission
- Experience in state or federal government, specifically in insurance
- Familiarity with federal rulemaking process
- Experience with carrier audits and corrective action plans
