Job Details
Under general supervision of the Global Hub Manager The holder of this position must fulfil his obligations in such a way that all tasks in his/her position are completed in a correct, timely, rapid and cost-efficient manner; shipments are sent by the most secure, most rapid, and most efficient way; the needs and expectations of the customer and other World Courier offices are considered and fulfilled; new regulations and technologies are immediately implanted; the customer receives the maximum amount of service-quality; and build a strong relationships with the International Agents handled.
Responsibilities:
- To assist the Commercial department in gathering Operational information relating to transit time performance, flight routing and customs regulations for all agent location handled by team.
- To ensure quality of service, by constant supervision of staff, regular checking of system and identification of problems that need to be action.
- To ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards and issues according to the standard that applies and GxP compliance program.
- To manage/monitor the operations of international agents and team members., to identify problem areas/issues and resolve in a timely and effective manner.
- To ensure cross training and periodic role-rotation of staff.
- To develop, implement, and update SOPs, Global KPI´s and other operational initiative.
- To ensure all process and charges are properly handled and enter at TMS and ensure on time invoiced for customers and agents.
- To manage invoice process and charges from international agents to ensure accuracy in the process.
- To set and measure service performance of the local team as well as international agents.
- To monitor and review Deviation Reports.
- Participate in CAPA process, writing, developing actions and training the involved team and/or agents. To manage poor performance by training, supervising, feedback and coaching.
- Monitoring of agents from IA, including performance analysis and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Organize and Schedule meetings with team or other areas, according with requirements for operational quality improvement, customer needs or any other point that requires an attention for Operations area.
- To perform qualified evaluations, 1:1 meetings, objective set up and follow up, for subordinates according with the company standards.
- To prepare and issue detailed and accurate monthly reports to Manager and/or Country Manager/Director on operations and or issues and development updates.
- Proactively and consistently, monitor jobs through company systems to ensure trouble-free delivery and duly communicate proactively update status to internal and external customers.
- To carry out special projects as directed by Manager and/or Country Manager/Director.
- Negotiations with transportation providers, including airlines, to secure better prices and transport conditions, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with International Agents and all operational vendors.
- Evaluation of agents and documentation updates for IA Management and follow-up on the ARC platform regarding IA agent training and monitor performance for Domestic Agents Network, interacting with local country leaders.
- To comply with the adherence to working hours, as well as to safety, accident-prevention and environmental-protection regulations.
- Guarantee staff training to deliver high service quality.
- To coach and provide career development advise to subordinates.
- To assist subordinates to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
- To perform, in addition to the above-described tasks, individual tasks assigned by his/her superiors, which are to be seen by their nature as part of his/her work area, or which arise out of necessity.
Education:
- Degree in International Relations, Transportation or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Operations department and/or Operations management.
- Be able to take initiatives and responsibilities.
- Command of English: written and oral skills.

- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
