Are you a caring, compassionate person who wants to give back to your community? We are seeking Russian-speaking Home Care Aides to join our team and support older adults—including Holocaust survivors and their families—through Jewish Family Services in Santa Clara.

You’ll be directly helping family members and community caregivers provide the daily support their loved ones need—while also being compensated for the time, care, and dedication you bring.

What You’Ll Do

As a Home Care Aide, you will:

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance).
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and families.
  • Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible in their homes.
  • Communicate with supervisors about client needs and changes in condition.
  • Participate in training and follow all safety, health, and compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliability: Ability to manage time well, follow care plans, and show up consistently for scheduled shifts.
  • Requirements: Must pass background clearance (Live Scan), TB test, and health screening.
  • Language: Russian-speaking preferred.
  • Compassion & Respect: A genuine interest in supporting older adults with dignity and patience.
  • Experience (Required): Previous caregiving or home care aide experience is required.

Santa Clara County, CA (with opportunities in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and surrounding areas)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 35lbs or more with proper use of body mechanicstraining provided
  • Ability to lift, transfer, push/pull, reach, bend, walk, maneuver, and reposition.
