Data Science, AI and Automation Specialist

DPDI specializes in crafting outstanding and insightful data products from both traditional (ex., stock prices and fundamentals) and non-traditional (ex, satellite imagery, consumer transactions, GPS transponders) sources. These innovative data products power some of the world’s most successful organizations. We also create AI-powered products and services, such as chatbots, agents, data extraction and enrichment tools, and workflow automations to accelerate our business. 

DPDI is now looking for a Specialist – Data Science to join our newly formed AI and Automation team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will apply leading edge AI technologies (ex., LLM, MCP, agents) to solve some of our most complex data and workflow challenges. 

Your Role And Responsibilities:

• Work with Product and Tech teams to own and expand our existing suite of AI-based microservices, leveraging state-of-the-art LLMs from OpenAI and Anthropic. 
• Collaborate with Product, Partnerships, Client Success, Sales, and Marketing to modernize our workflows using RPA and AI. 
• Create NLP pipelines for data labelling, matching and extraction (ex., Named Entity Recognition and Entity Resolution).
• Assess the quality and robustness of your solutions and iterate to optimize performance.
• Apply best practices of MLOps / LLMOps in deploying new products and services to production. 

We Expect You To Have:

• Minimum 7+ years of development experience in Python and 5years in processing structured and unstructured data using NLP. 
• Should have 3+ years in applying classification, regression, and related ML models. 
• 1+ years in utilizing LLMs and RAG to solve real-world, industry problems 
• Experience leading medium-sized projects from concept to completion. 
• Solid understanding of NLP and related concepts such as vectorization, entity resolution, string similarity, and semantic search.  
• Experience with RPA, web-scraping, and LLM fine-tuning is a strong plus.  
• Cloud and systems experience in AWS S3/EC2, Databricks, and Linux 
• Passionate about Generative AI, consistently tracking the latest industry developments  
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written 
• Ambitious and enthusiastic self-starter, driven to succeed in a fast-paced, startup style environment 
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Masters preferred. 

It would be phenomenal if you: 

• Have previous experience crafting financial data products 
• Have strong aptitude and/or interest in financial markets 
• Leadership experience in a start-up environment
