ChristianaCare Cardiology at the HealthCare Center at Christiana is looking for a Medical Assistant I.

Cardiology at the HealthCare Center at Christiana is located at 200 Hygeia Drive in Newark, Delaware.

ChristianaCare Cardiology provides specialized care in virtually all aspects of cardiology. You would work as a team to provide our patients with the best cardiac care possible. Not only are we dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of our patient’s particular problem, but also to their personal comfort and well-being. In the practice, you will use state-of-the-art equipment and the latest procedures available in cardiac medicine.

You will join a team that provides sophisticated cardiovascular diagnostic imaging services, along with rehabilitation services to help in the recovery process of our patients.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5pm (hours could vary, will not exceed 40 hours/week). 

Duties / Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant I, you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
