We are looking for a Senior Category Manager -Procurement of Public Relations and Media who is passionate about creating the next generation of Play Technology! PR and Media is the largest part of the Sales & Marketing category, which covers all global and local commercial activity involving marketing services and marketing materials
This role is global in title, however, will also support local, APAC and global market PR and advertising & marketing services procurement needs (eg Media, Creative etc).
Focus Areas Include:
- Development of Global Category Sourcing Plan and execution inclusive of local and global suppliers
- Partnering with Central Global Marketing and ensuring consistent Global and local approach
- Responsible for regional opportunities, sourcing and consolidation
- Global and Regional stakeholder management and KPI execution
- Support and execute the global commercial strategy
- Strong collaboration with regional and local teams for other categories to drive any regional opportunities and consolidation
- Best practices sharing and initiatives leadership in global category forums
- Build a scalable and flexible supply base
- Managing local RFI, RFQ and RFP processes
- Conduct commercial negotiations and SRM meeting with key suppliers
- Be accountable to all aspects of commercial governance compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creation and execution of Global Category Sourcing Plan for Public Relations (PR) related services (agencies, measurement & tracking tools) in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Collaboratively responsible for sourcing and management of China and APAC Media related services (agencies, publishers)
- Secure strong senior global and market level stakeholder and category management
- Maintain superior knowledge of the PR and Media supplier landscape (agencies, influencers, measurement) relevant to LEGO marketing
- Build, maintain and manage global PR supplier base - incl. contracting, negotiations, relationship building, risk management and supplier performance together with the relevant stakeholders
- Drive effective Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers
- Identify China and APAC opportunities to leverage existing global supplier relationships, where relevant
Do You Have What It Takes?
- EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - list necessary educational background
- Bachelors Degree required in Marketing, Advertising/Media, Procurement, Supply Chain or another field related to the role or equivalent experience
- 6 to 10 years marketing services (PR, Media, Creative etc) or related procurement experience in either consumer goods, toys, marketing agency, or supplier side
- Strategic thinker and highly collaborative person
- Superior stakeholder management skills, able to successfully work with senior marketing people in a global organization. Including managing multiple marketing stakeholder needs to reach an optimum solution for all
- Experience working in global or multi-country organizations with remote management
- Mar-tech, Ad-tech savvy. Understanding the role and general ways of working of adtech and martech
- Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time.
- Previous Public Relations experience working with or within PR agencies, media and advertising agencies, or advertiser PR roles, ideally in a global context.
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- COUPA or other Procurement system knowledge
- Must be fluent in English & Chinese
