Assist and provide Group Housing support to 3 full-service Marriott hotels. Manages Group Blocks from a Sales, Revenue Management, Accounting, and Front Office perspective. Compile accurate documentation of contracts and Quality Data in the CI sales system. Acts as an auditor of group block accuracy between all systems. Use of MARSHA to process reservations. Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to identify strategy changes that will grow room revenue.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Follow the hotel's rate structures, discounts, promotions, and upsell strategies.
- Enters reservations and changes into MARSHA system. Accommodate special requests when possible. Cancel room reservations according to policies and procedures.
- Manage Group Blocks in MARSHA and CI, and communicate changes in inventory to DOS and Revenue Manager.
- Assist front office team with processing Queues.
- Generate Group Resumes, Rooming Lists, and communication needed for the operations team.
- Complete a weekly rooms forecast to assist with staff scheduling.
- Assist in monitoring hotel inventory.
- Assisting with maintenance of all transient Rate Schedules in PMS and MARSHA.
- Work with Group Clients on changes with room blocks.
- Runs daily reports from CI, One Yield, and/or PMS.
- Manage 3rd Party reservations, Open / Close dates.
- Complete weekly Group Block audits to ensure accurate information is reflected in all systems.
- Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other matters of significance to the manager so that corrective measures may be taken.
- Process No-Show fees.
- Any other tasks/duties as requested by management.
- Education and Experience:
- High school education. 2-3 years experience in the hospitality industry and knowledge of common industry terms and practices preferred.
- Must have experience using either Marriott or Sheraton systems.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
Ability to correctly sell and process reservations, changes, and cancellations in compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations.
Ability to type 50 or more words per minute along with Microsoft Office fluency - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve matters.
Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on management's direction and Company policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
Attention to details with strong organizational and efficient time management skills.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and strong communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction.
