About Hippy
The Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) is a two-year, home-based early learning program that empowers families to support their child’s development through fun, play-based activities. HIPPY helps build a love of learning, strengthens the parent-child bond, and supports a smooth transition to school.
About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HIPPY Mentor to join our Geraldton team. You’ll work closely with families to support their role as their child’s first educator, delivering activities and guidance aligned with the HIPPY curriculum.
What You’Ll Do
- Provide one-on-one support to families participating in HIPPY
- Deliver educational activities tailored to family needs
- Participate in training for each activity pack
- Conduct regular home visits and monitor family progress
- Assist with planning and running group gatherings
- Share supervision of children during group sessions
What You Need
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting families and children
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Commitment to the full two-year program
- Experience or knowledge of HIPPY is highly desirable
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (minimum third-party insurance)
- Valid WA Working with Children Check
As part of our commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last six months. This must be submitted prior to commencing employment.
