In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Quality Improvement Special Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement projects to enhance performance with regulatory requirements and promote best practices and project implementation across the organization. In this role, the project manager will facilitate teams, compile data and present solutions to improve the quality across the system. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Behavior and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
- Coordinate and facilitate special quality improvement projects
- Evaluate systems for improvement and develop implementation plan
- Collect data to develop Quality Strategic Plan to transition to 5 Star hospital
- Evaluate Mayo Partnership Performance and develop improvement plan
- Develop implementation plan for Unite Us project
- Evaluate Custodial Care process and participate in data reporting and chart review
- Monitor performance metrics and benchmarks to identify trends, gaps and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of quality improvement projects, findings and outcomes.
- Responsible/accountable for professional development.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, business, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, education or a regulatory environment is preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Strong organizational skills; ability to analyze, interpret and assimilate information
- Demonstrated knowledge in using clinical information systems
- Possess effective interpersonal skills; strong working knowledge of hospital organization and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
