Commercial Finance Analyst (Business Partner)

The Role

A great opportunity to join this high performing Finance team - you will report to the Head of Commercial Finance who will directly coach and mentor your growth in this role. This position will provide the opportunity to influence ongoing brand and portfolio strategy and to add real value to commercial decision making and performance. 

Specifically This Role Will:

• Business Partner the Marketing Team on all commercial finance matters, providing financial insights, and recommendations in line with delivering against PZ Cussons commitments 
• Challenge and influence the Marketing team on plans and spend to enable profitable growth 
• Produce and provide the analysis for monthly reporting including providing insights into results and calling out key opportunities and challenges 
• Work closely with the category team to gain insights and incorporate into results analysis 
• Provide investment advice and decision making support, including pricing recommendations and pre and post promotional analytics 
• Contribute to the IBP and Budget process by supporting sales to produce a reliable forecast and provide commercial rigor to sales forecasting with focus on profitability 

To be successful in the role:  

You will be an ambitious team player, with excellent financial credentials and a talent for seeing numbers through a commercial lens. You may have spent a minimum of 3-4 years in a Financial reporting/analysis position and you are now looking to grow your business and commercial experience in an FMCG environment. 

You Will Ideally Have:

• Commercial acumen and business partnering skills 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Systems background: SAP/Hyperon would be highly desirable but not a must  
• Accounting background: including Financial modelling 
• Experience within FMCG or similar industry would be highly desirable but not a must 
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Business or related discipline are essential as is CPA/ACA or equivalent.
