About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated 1st year Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our Minchinbury site, working afternoon/evening shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in mechanical fitting within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production equipment, learn from skilled tradespeople, and complete your apprenticeship while contributing to the day-to-day running of our operations.

What You’Ll Do

• Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical faults and support repairs under supervision.
• Work alongside qualified fitters and maintenance staff, developing your trade skills.
• Follow WHS and food safety policies (HACCP, GMP).
• Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and training progress.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Contribute to a strong safety and teamwork culture.

About You

This is an entry-level role suited to someone passionate about pursuing a career as a Mechanical Fitter. You don’t need prior trade experience, we’ll provide the training and support to help you succeed. We’re looking for someone who is:

• Genuinely interested in mechanical fitting and food manufacturing.
• Willing to learn and committed to completing a formal apprenticeship.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and hands-on.
• Available to work afternoon/evening shifts.
