We are looking for a Project Coordinator with a diverse set of skills to coordinate the adaptive development and delivery of Green Adelaide’s ‘Sharing our Shores with Coastal Wildlife’ project. Key initiatives of the project are to coordinate strategic efforts across agencies, local government, community and industry to better conserve and protect threatened shorebirds and seabirds and priority coastal habitats of Adelaide and its surrounds including the Fleurieu Peninsula and Gulf St Vincent.

The Sharing our Shores with Coastal Wildlife Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordination and evidence-based guidance of key stakeholders, partner organisations and community groups, report writing, volunteer coordination and management, stakeholder engagement and education, and contract delivery and management.
You Will Do This By:
- Assisting in delivery of priority conservation actions for BirdLife Australia's Beach-nesting Birds and Migratory Shorebirds programs.
- Facilitating strategic partnerships with local government, state government, non-government organisations and alliances, and community groups.
- Improving understanding of regional coastal habitats and wildlife through coordination of citizen science projects.
- Facilitating and mentoring community engagement to increase and strengthen participation in coastal wildlife conservation initiatives.
- Developing submissions and engaging in consultations that will influence coastal wildlife and habitat management and conservation.
- Instigating and delivering community awareness activities and initiatives to shape positive behaviours towards coastal wildlife and habitat preservation.

This is a part-time role (0.8 FTE) based in Adelaide offered on a max term 12-month contract which comes with an attractive salary range of $74,293 - $88,444 (based on experience) per annum plus 12% super.

To Apply For This Role:
- Have tertiary qualification in Ecology, Conservation, or another relevant discipline
- Have demonstrated knowledge of coastal birds and threats to coastal habitats
- Have demonstrated ability in coordinating projects on time and on budget
- Have experience working with and preparing communication materials for multiple stakeholders including government organisations and community-based volunteers
- Have demonstrated experience negotiating successful conservation practices and outcomes
- Have a current full Australian driver’s license
- Have valid Australian work rights with permission to work
