About The Role
We are looking for a Vulnerability Management Analyst to join our vulnerability posture management team for a fixed term contract to December 2026. This is a project role which is modernising the Bank’s core infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering capabilities for continuous assurance such as implementing and maintaining CIS benchmark scans in our vulnerability management tool
- Triaging vulnerabilities that have been identified from a variety of sources
- Tracking remediation efforts by other IT teams
- Managing the tools used by the posture management team
- Helping to shape and inform the strategic direction of the posture management team
Your Team
Sitting within the Bank's IT Security Services team, Vulnerability Posture Management (VPM) is made up of five passionate members. There is a strong culture for collaboration, innovation, and celebrating personal successes. The team is constantly looking to improve and welcomes fresh perspectives and ideas.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about cyber security and technology and enjoys sharing that passion with others. Previous experience in vulnerability management is highly desirable. Alternatively experience in other IT Security functions coupled with a good working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure will be considered.
To be successful in this critical role you will possess:
- Experience working in an IT Security team, ideally within a position exposed to vulnerability/posture management
- Knowledge of threat actor behaviour and tradecraft, the attack lifecycle, and general cybersecurity topics
- A broad understanding of principles in networking, infrastructure, and operating systems
- Experience using a vulnerability scanner such as Nessus or Qualys
- Experience in CIS benchmarking
- A drive to continually improve processes in order to expand the Banks vulnerability management program
The successful candidate will also be required to undertake a Baseline Security clearance.
