Role Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor will serve in the Clinical Training and Intern Development Program and be responsible for providing clinical oversight and evaluation of master level social work graduate interns, who will be registering with California’s Board of Behavioral Sciences after their graduation. The Clinical Supervisor acts as the point of responsibility for ensuring that each intern meets their training plans and requirements for Wellnest and their respective school. This temporary assignment is expected to last approximately three (3) - six (6) months.
Essential Functions:
- Follows previously established supervision plans according to agreements with various schools, assesses job performance, and runs group/individual supervision meetings.
- Supervises 10 master level graduate students in social work and ensure they meet legal and regulatory compliance requirements
- Supervises 1 LCSW clinical suervisor
- Facilitates twice monthly group superivison meetings with all 12 students from the intern cohort
- Ensure supervisees meet role expectations of providing great clinical care and timely submission of clinical documentation
- Oversee and co-sign clinical documentation for supervisees in a timely manner
- Be comfortable with the use of electronics and multiple electronic-based systems, including our electronic helth record
- May need to attend required meetings related to programs and community based services
- Manages departmental budgets
- Manages client service hours (productivity) as established by administration
- Responds to crisis calls and other emergencies as needed (e.g., critical child related incidents, threats of suicide in schools, home or community)
- Coordinates the work of the team within the program
- Supervises and consults with leadership team members
- Attends internal meetings and training relevant to the Clinic’s mission, as assigned by the CPO
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
A master’s degree from an accredited university School of Social Work and a valid license (LCSW) from the State of California Board of Behavioral Science. Knowledge and experience in training processes for mental health professionals. At least two years post licensure. Experience providing direct service and supervision is preferred.
Conditions Of Employment:
Employee may be asked to pursue additional training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Company. Employee must have the ability to use a personal vehicle with the required insurance coverage to complete the essential duties of their job and conduct agency business. Employee must maintain a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Wellnest’s insurance carrier’s criteria for liability coverage. In keeping with Company policy for all employees, the successful applicant must also complete a test for TB, and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice.
Working Conditions:
Employee regularly works in an office environment. Employee may be required to work flexible, evening and/or weekend hours for time-sensitive projects.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.

- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to use computer keyboard up to 75% of the day.
- Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer and scanner, or other equipment as required.
