The Modern Workplace and Asset Manager will lead the global delivery and continuous improvement of modern workplace technologies and asset management services. They will be accountable for defining and executing the modern workplace strategy, enhancing user experience, driving automation, and improving security posture of end-user environments. This role will also ensure effective governance and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets, including CMDB accuracy and license compliance. By aligning technology services with IT and business strategy, this role plays a key part in advancing operational efficiency, standardization, and digital workplace maturity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Defines and delivers the Modern Workplace and ITAM roadmap, ensuring execution, service availability, and continuous improvement, with focus on cloud adoption, automation and user experience.
- Owns end-to-end lifecycle of technologies and services within scope, including planning, deployment, operations, continuous improvement and retirement
- Ensures 24/7 operational continuity of end-user services aligned with SLAs
- Define and implement digital workplace security posture and vulnerability management processes for all managed devices
- Manages and operates all technology and services withing scope, ensuring end-to-end lifecycle governance (from planning, deployment, optimization to retirement)
- Implements, manages and continuously improves ITIL assigned processes, with a focus on IT Asset Management and related lifecycle management
- Develops, publishes and enhances KPIs and reporting to drive performance, visibility and data-driven decision making
- Manage inventory and license Governance
- Manage contracts, identifies and drives cost-saving initiatives across the asset lifecycle, including software rationalization and hardware reuse
- Collaborates with IT security, to proactively manage vulnerabilities and improve the security posture of all managed devices and services.
- Maintains service integrity across endpoint technologies, and asset platforms, ensuring systems scale with business demand.
- Proactively works with stakeholders across all functions and business units to define the broader Infrastructure requirement.
- Manages budget related to the area of responsibility, both Opex and Capex, ensuring correct forecast and target goals
- Stay current on technology trends to support innovation and business transformation
- Leads and develops a global team, including setting goals, training plans, individual development plans, and ensuring high-performance delivery.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships with focus on cost optimization and quality of delivered services.
- Drives continuous improvements in Modern Workplace and ITAM services and technologies
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, end-user IT services and IT Asset Management technologies and architecture.
- 3+ years of experience in managing global teams.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire others to achieve a high-level result from a large and diverse group.
- Analytical and strategic experience, need to be able to use data to generate insights and reports that translate into strategic initiatives to improve processes.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery when needed in a global, fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of hardware/software asset lifecycle processes and experience maintaining a CMDB with asset tracking tools
- Knowledge of Licensing principles and optimization practices from major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce IT policies/standards, solid understanding of IT compliance and security
- Ability to hold vendors accountable for achieving desired business results.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial.
- Problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution.
- Ability to take ownership, present, demonstrate, document, and provide thought leadership and stakeholder management to deliver new projects.
- Great interpersonal skills and competencies are essential for success in the role.
- Bachelor degree in IT
- Technical certifications in the areas of end-user technologies
- Position will involve international travel once per year.
- Hybrid working 1 day per week in our Lisbon office.
