Superintendent Engineer
Job Duties:
Plan and execute mechanical overhauls, repairs, and service solutions in alignment with customer specifications and contractual agreements. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical systems and processes. Design and prepare tools and machinery including axial flow compressors, radial split casing compressors, radial barrel compressors, gear compressors, screw compressors, steam turbines, hot gas expanders, multi-stage in-line centrifugal compressors, and single and multi-stage gear compressors. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Collaborate with customers and supervisors to plan equipment layout and installation sequences. Supervise the installation, overhaul, and repair of turbo compressors. Oversee equipment installation and repairs and determine appropriate procedures ensuring strict compliance with relevant specifications, codes and standards. Develop and monitor production activities, including manufacturing methods and product designs. Supervise testing, tuning, and adjustment of equipment for optimal performance. Assist in the structural design of products using CAD or drafting software. Explain product features and functions to customers and resolve complex operational issues. Collaborate across engineering disciplines to implement procedures and resolve malfunctions. Conduct research and recommend design modifications on equipment feasibility and performance. Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and make recommendations for corrective action. Provide technical direction and support to team members on servicing and repair activities.
Position requires travel. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Superintendent Engineer-related occupation.
