Responsibilities:
Technical Support: As a technical leader in our External Technical Operations team, you will collaborate closely with Supply Chain partners and Supplier Quality to ensure we execute supplier process improvement projects and supplier transfer projects quickly and efficiently to drive value and supply reliability in our supply chain.
Champion Process Development and Improvement: By leading the charge in process development and continuous improvement initiatives at our suppliers, you will help elevate manufacturing standards within our External Supply chain.
Quality Focus: Your attention to detail will be required as you complete Quality System requirements, including MPIs, Change Orders, PFMEA, engineering studies, and verification/validation protocols and reports, ensuring compliance with industry regulations at both suppliers and internal J&J sites.
Standard Work & Best Practices: Drive improvements in standard work, promoting process-driven project execution, sharing best practices, and capturing lessons learned.
Support Team Governance: Support team excellence through data reporting, project finance, and budgeting. Collaborate on supply base optimization strategies to maximize value and reliability.
Leadership Responsibilities: You will use your experience to support our contracting staff in the execution of their projects, ensuring adherence to project timeline targets and validation requirements.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering / Science subject area
- At least 6 years of manufacturing, quality engineering, or manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Experience in regulated industry, FDA, ISO, etc.
- Experience with process validations/verifications
- Ability to read and understand technical documents
- Strong project management and problem solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and international
Desirable:
- Computer business systems experience – i.e. SAP, Agile/ADAPTIV, ETQ, Windchill, etc.
- FPX or PM certification
- Experience working with External Supply chain
- Experience with forging, casting, polymers or CNC Machining.
- Experience with Sterilization, and/or Packaging.
- Certification in Six Sigma/Lean
