This Team Leader is responsible for coaching and developing a team of 10-15 Fraud Investigation Specialists who effectively manage the customer experience while protecting American Express from risk. This Team Leader will also be responsible for ensuring proper performance metrics (production, quality, compliance) are met and effective coaching and training of their colleagues. They will regularly communicate the status of the business, progress against goals and ensure that colleagues are well informed about issues that affect them and their workload. The coaching they provide will include real time feedback and resolution of escalated issues. Additionally, the Leader will provide guidance in situations when the goal is not always clearly defined and will require strong collaboration with peers to meet business objectives.  The Leader will collaborate with peers and business partners to drive continuous improvement of the operation and manage change effectively to motivate and retain colleagues.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead a group of 10-15 Account Protection Specialists (APS) who are responsible for providing service to our Global Fraud Protection Services customers.
  • Coach and develop APS to drive customer engagement to ensure referrals are handled professionally, in accordance with company policies, procedures, service level agreements and legislative requirements.
  • Provide feedback and direction to APS by assessing skill levels and overall readiness.
  • Encourage and support a customer focused consultative environment while driving business results by means of effective process improvement, change management and employee development.
  • Act as a conduit for communication to ensure direct reports are well informed about issues that affect them and their customers.
  • Accountable for service and quality in support of Fraud Protection accounts.
  • Shape future productivity and employee engagement through inspiration, robust coaching, collaboration, and sharing of best practices.

  • Be a solid collaborator across the team, peers, and all levels of the organization.
  • Be highly analytical with the ability to identify the root cause of a situation, while keeping the big picture in perspective
  • Demonstrated thought leadership is essential.
  • This candidate should be a strong negotiator with ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and follow up.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous process improvements and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities successfully.
  • Must be able to work within business operating hours: Monday-Friday from 6:00AM - 4:30 PM AZ Time.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
